1. Controller
S‑Qube Technologies GmbH, Obere Bänklen 9, CH‑8802 Kilchberg (ZH), Switzerland, is the controller responsible for processing personal data on this website. Contact: info@sqube.ch.
2. What data we process
- Access logs. When you visit sqube.ch, our infrastructure records technical data such as your IP address, browser type, requested pages and timestamps. We use this data solely to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website.
- Demo requests. If you submit the demo request form, we process the details you provide (name, email address, company, location and any comments) to respond to your inquiry and arrange the requested demo.
- Correspondence. If you contact us by email, we process the personal data contained in your message to handle your request.
- Anonymous usage statistics. We measure how the website is used (pages viewed, links and buttons clicked, referrer, country, browser type) with Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool that we host ourselves. It uses no cookies, stores no IP addresses and creates no visitor profiles — the collected statistics are anonymous and cannot be linked to you. We do not record your session and we do not capture what you type. Visitors with the "Do Not Track" browser setting are excluded entirely.
3. What we do not do
This website uses no advertising networks, no tracking cookies and no third-party analytics. Fonts, usage statistics and all other assets are served and processed on our own infrastructure — no data about your visit is shared with or sold to third parties. We do not record or replay your browsing session, and we do not use personal data for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Cookies and local storage
The website itself sets no tracking cookies; our usage statistics work without cookies. Technically necessary cookies (for example session or security tokens) may be set by the application platform when interactive features are used. These are required for operation and are not used to track you across sites.
If you switch this site between its light and dark appearance, that preference is saved in your browser's local storage so the site looks the same on your next visit. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is not used to recognise you.
5. Hosting and data location
The website is hosted on infrastructure operated by DigitalOcean in data centers located in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). Access logs are processed there on our behalf.
Our usage statistics are processed on analytics infrastructure that we operate ourselves, separately from the website hosting described above, and are not shared with any analytics provider. This is why no third party receives data about your visit.
6. Legal bases
We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG). Where the EU GDPR applies, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract, e.g. demo requests) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website).
7. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by statutory retention obligations, and delete it afterwards.
8. Your rights
You have the right to request access to, rectification or deletion of your personal data, and to object to its processing. Contact info@sqube.ch to exercise these rights. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, where the GDPR applies, with your local supervisory authority.
9. Changes
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the website or to legal requirements. The version published here is the current one.
